They say some are born to be entrepreneurs. Leaders. They make money easily, they seem to have a certain "flair" to manage their business and they quickly become celebrities in their own right.
What's their secret ? A super awesome marketing plan no one has even heard of ?
The truth is, sometimes entrepreneurs forget the obvious : they need to launch good products. Right now.
They need to be brave. To make the leap and be proud of it. "If you'll never try, you'll never know".
Maybe then, can you start networking or else. Otherwise, it's a waste of time and it's important to stop multitasking and just focus : what is your business about ? What are you trying to achieve ?
It's a huge mistake to think you have to spend six months finding partners or create a list of thousands of followers on Twitter. No, a launch will accelerate your business and you will learn quicker than waiting and waiting until it's too late : someone else will have that idea and already they will earn your bucks.
You know the story of Facebook. Everyone knows. It started with students who wanted to network together and give updates about their lives or projects. What would have happened, do you think, if Mark Zuckerberg had a second thought and didn't try to create the platform ? Man, he would have been sorry. Those kinds of bad luck happen all the time. People get new ideas everyday, but not a lot will go on with the project and actually sell, it takes some courage.
So do it. Don't overthink. Just do.
Of course, you need to sell good products. Without good products, no cash will flow. Who wants to buy garbage ? Nobody. And yet, entrepreneurs get so excited at the idea of starting a new business that they spend more time creating a business plan, networking or learning about product launches than they spent creating quality items. That's why most business fail : they don't focus on their products and they launch too late.
My point is : forget about marketing. Right now, it doesn't matter. If you are at the early stages of production, 100% of your time needs to be spent monitoring and creating good, useful and nice products for future customers. Once it's done : start selling. It applies to books, gadgets or anything that can sell. Give value. Try to make the lives of people better. Be passionate.
Sure, many people will think it's naive but the truth is, all successful entrepreneurs started with an idea : "What if I can change the lives of my customers by creating this or that ?".
It doesn't have to be perfect. Nothing is perfect. But it will be soon, because once a product is out, another will be coming in the next month and that product ? Will be awesome. There's a guarantee for you.
Why ? You will receive feedbacks. You will see the flows in your products but also what makes it valuable. There is a quality there and the next version is going to blow people's minds. You will work hard to please your current clients, but you will also work harder to attract new ones.
So no, there is no secret marketing plan. Just quality and courage. That's all it takes.
